Some spaces need to do it all. At Mercado Libre's offices, a high-traffic area doubles as a stage for events, ceremonies, and presentations. The challenge was integrating a large-format screen that would appear when needed and disappear when not. The solution was the country's first large-scale rollable screen installation. When not in use, it retracts to keep the space completely open. During events, it lowers to turn the area into a projection space. Behind that simple motion lies a complex piece of engineering. Weighing over 300 kg, raising and lowering the screen safely, smoothly, and precisely required custom-built structural and mechanical design. The result is controlled with a single tap. From a touch panel, any operator can deploy or retract it automatically, with no technical expertise or specialized staff required.
